Gelu Scoops (GScoops LLC) is a 2 generation, family owned and independently operated licensee of Gelu Italian Ice. Our mission is to give back to the community and to deliver the best customer service by happily serving League City, Galveston, and the surrounding areas our delicious Italian Ice!
Where it all started
Gelu Italian Ice was founded in January 2013 in Grand Junction, CO, starting with just a single-batch freezer and two pushcarts. From the beginning, Gelu aimed to win over the community by offering generous free samples. By the summer of 2015, Gelu was crowned the BEST in The Dessert Election, holding the title for four consecutive years. After several winters in Colorado, Gelu made the strategic decision to relocate to Texas in January 2019.
