Position Overview

We’re looking for friendly, reliable team members to operate our trailer on the Galveston Seawall. This is a fun, fast-paced job perfect for those who enjoy interacting with customers, and being part of a local favorite.

Job Overview

As a Trailer Operator, you will:​

• Customer Service: Serve Gelu Italian Ice with a smile, handle payments, and promote the Gelu brand.

• Sales: Handle cash and card transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

• Setup & Cleanliness: Open the trailer, maintain a clean and organized serving area, follow food safety standards and complete end-of-day checklists.

 

Qualifications​

• Certification: Must have or obtain a current Food Handler Card or Manager Certification.

• Availability: Flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

• Skills: Excellent customer service, basic math, strong communication, attention to detail, and a team-oriented attitude.
